The SPELLBINDING SEMICONDUCTOR of SYDNEY BIENNALE

I’m spellbound by Semiconductor’s Where Shapes Come From 2016, their hypnotic Two-channel HD video. Raw seismic data becomes sound controlled animation, combined with narration as a lab tech prepares samples, filmed in a lab at Washington’s Smithsonian

Now, it’s showing for Biennale of Sydney at The Art Gallery of NSWIt’s possible to watch this 8 minute & 55 second film on loop for hours.
Here, I have filmed a collection of extracts and close ups of my favourite parts.

If you manage to stop being mesmerised, I’ll be over here writing up a little more about the sensational Semiconductor >>>>>>>>

Let the show begin….
